Calm Abiding Meditation with Linda Detsal Joy

January 20 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Winter Workshop at West Asheville Yoga

Saturday, January 20th from 2-4pm

Cost: $20

Calm Abiding is an ancient form of meditation that has been taught and passed on through out the ages in Buddhist Tradition. This particular teaching comes from the lineage of the Tibetan Nyingma Buddhist Yogis. It is the meditation of natural ease and full awakening. By doing this practice, we can awaken our mind and come to a stabilized and peaceful place.
In this workshop we will begin with a short invocation chant and dedication of our practice. You will learn the 7 point meditation posture and Calm Abiding meditation
techniques. We will practice what we have learned together and end with another chant and offering our practice to the benefit of all beings.
3:30pm-4pm will be an optional Gong Fu Tea Ceremony and question and answer session.
