Monthly Gong Bath Meditation with Bob and Jaime
Dates: One Saturday per Month Next date Saturday, March 22
April Event is Friday, April 11
Join Bob Bauer and Jaime Moshe for an experience of healing and transformation as we share Kundalini Meditation and Gong Bath once a month at West Asheville Yoga. Each evening begins with some gentle Kundalini Yoga warm ups to open to body and loosen the spine to prepare for the energy of the gong and ease of sitting.
“The Gong is the first and the last instrument for the human mind. There is only one thing that can supersede and command the human mind–the sound of the Gong. It is the first sound in the universe, the sound that created this universe. It is the mind, the sound of the gong is like a mother and father that gave It birth. The mind has no power to resist a gong that is well played.”
Benefits of the Gong Sound Bath:
Creates a state of relaxation and release of tension
Stimulates the circulatory and glandular systems
Rebalances the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies
Helps clear energetic and emotional blockages
Regenerates the parasympathetic nervous system
Awakens higher states of consciousness
Overall healing and transformation
Induces a state of meditation by calming the mind
Reduces the internal dialogue
Bathes you in a cascade of healing sound — to shift the brain from Beta (waking state) to Theta or Delta (meditation) through the vibrations of the instrument.

Ma Lakshmi Invocation and Yoga Nidra with Cat
Date: Sunday, April 6
Springtime is the perfect time to honor the form of the Mother who blesses us with all riches in all the worlds. In this evening’s event we will build our collective altar to the Goddess Lakshmi; bring flowers, statues, jewelry, sacred items, sweets, etc to place on the altar. We will do a little simple movement for about 10 minutes to help prepare our bodies for stillness. Next we sit around the altar and chant a mantra to Lakshmi to invoke her Blessings and Grace into our circle. Once we complete the mantra meditation, participants lie down in savasana and are guided deeply into their consciousness, into the place of powerful intention setting. Once here in this yoga nidra, or “conscious sleeping state” you will proclaim your intention internally, making yourself a beacon for all the energies of the Universe to begin gathering to support your intention. Get ready. This is powerful stuff. And Lakshmi loves a pretty altar and a sweet gathering! Jai MA! Ask, and you shall receive. Set your intentions carefully. And register early…
