Annual Winter Solstice Ganesha Invocation and Yoga Nidra with Cat Matlock
Date: Sunday, Dec 22
Every year Cat leads a special Ganesha Invocation and Yoga Nidra for the Winter Solstice. Together we build a communal altar and call in the creative power of Ganesha in the darkest time of the year. Ganesha is primordial, the One before the others, creation from darkness. Ganesha comes before there is a “he” and “she.” In the Upanishads, Ganesha is considered to be embodied in the vibration of the sound of OM, the sound from which all else emerges. We call to Ganesha to connect with that most primal creative energy and set our intentions for what we vision for us ahead as the Light returns and we move forward into the next journey around the sun. We will offer mantras to Ganesha to chant in that Divine Energy and then we will do a special Yoga Nidra practice focusing on clearing and repairing our root chakras and establishing a clear seat there, a strong asana, on which Ganesha will sit in our own selves. This is powerful manifestation at its finest. Deeply relaxing, this practice will assist you into your depths to the place where your own magic happens. Ganesha will help us open the doors to get there, and give power to our prayers and visions. Space is limited. Register early. Get ready for magic.
