Fact-based, inclusive childbirth education: Our course will include childbirth education that is designed to give yoga teachers access to accurate and up to date information about childbirth.
Community: Throughout the Flow of Life training, trainees will feel the value of community. We believe that strong communities lead to healthy pregnancies and families. This training will demonstrate how to hold spaces for people in all stages of pregnancy.
Functional Movement Practice: We approach yoga asanas based on functional anatomy. Our trainees will learn:
  • Why some asanas are beneficial for pregnancy
  • Why some asanas are not beneficial for pregnancy
  • How to alleviate common pregnancy aches and pains
  • Pelvic Floor health
  • Tools to relieve discomfort and develop coping skills

What you will learn in this program: 
  • To teach functional prenatal yoga and movement to support pregnancy, labor, birth and parenthood.
  • How to safely adapt poses for pregnancy. Modifications, contraindications and benefits for each trimester.
  • Anatomy and physiology of pregnancy.
  • The process of birth in all forms.
  • How to sequence safe and effective classes to aid in pregnancy, labor and birth.
  • Discover your own facilitation skills, how to hold space and speak from your heart.

1pm Prenatal Yoga Lab with  Anatomy & Physiology and Teaching Methodology   
3pm Embodied Childbirth Education
6pm Dinner with Guest  Speaker
7pm evening activity – meditation, circle, movie or reflection.
8pm close

9am Prenatal Yoga Practice 
10am Yoga Philosophy Topic
10:45am Prenatal Yoga Lab 
12:15pm Lunch (45min) 
1pm Movement and Embodied Child Birth Ed
