Integrated therapeutics for the lower body with Althea Wilkins

Tuesdays, March 6th-27th   7:15-8:30 p.m

Healthy alignment of strong, yet flexible feet/ankles has long term positive effects throughout the body-as far away as the knees, hips, low back and even the neck! In yogic anatomy, the lower body corresponds to the 1st and 2nd chakras ~ informing the way we stand our own ground in life as well as how we move into interface with the environment and other humans. Join Althea for the 2nd annual Spring Tune-Up in honor of the vernal equinox on March 20th for a fun and fascinating exploration of the muscles, joints and fascial compartments of the feet, legs and hips. Progressive, intelligent sequencing of Yoga, Rolling and Functional Movement provides powerful tools to:

  • Relieve chronically tight hips with effective self-care
  • Learn the 4 most common contributors to knee pain and things you can do to help restore balance
  • Alleviate stiff, sore feet, bunions and plantar fasciitis
  • Integrate strength and flexibility with the breath
  • Replace old, unconscious movement habits
  • Refine awareness & alignment from the ground, up
