Ganesha Yoga Nidra for Winter Solstice

December 19, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

with Cat Matlock

Sunday, December 19 6-7:30pm

“There is a light brighter than every sun, every star in the galaxy combined.  That light lives in your own heart.” – paraphrased from Taittreya Upanishad

It’s back!  Join Cat Matlock for a sweet guided meditation invoking Ganesha, the Remover of Obstacles.  This practice is for anyone who needs to pause, slow down their mind, and focus on their next steps with clarity and support.

In person is SOLD OUT. Register here for virtual.

As we enter the time of darkness, we call on Ganesha to illuminate the path ahead and ask for assistance to remove our own obstacles to shining our brilliant lights.

We will gather around an altar to Ganesha.  Participants are welcome to bring sacred items to place on the altar for the in-person event, or you are welcome to create a little altar at home if joining online.

The evening starts with some teaching about the chakras to lay the foundation for the practice.  We then enter the meditative state with chanting a mantra to welcome Ganesha energy into the space.  Everyone will then lie down for the guided meditation practice, yoga nidra.  We will dive into each energy center, stabilize it, and pull energy up from the lower chakras to the higher centers so that we can be creative and empowered to move forward.

This event has been a favorite in many past years’ Winter Solstices, and Cat is thrilled to return to this practice this year.
