Pop Up Kids Yoga + Art “Set Your Intention”, ages 3-8

January 13 from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm
$25

Children ages three to eight are invited to move through a series of yoga postures, imaginative sequences, engaging breath-work, visualizations, and explore a variety of art mediums for making artwork that they can take home with them.

We will explore yoga through movement, restorative play, mindfulness, visualizations, and self-expression. This exploration helps children increase mind and body awareness, strength, flexibility, focus, and creativity.

This Kids Yoga + Art pop up is “Set Your Intention” themed– Intentions are an exquisite yoga practice as they simply bring awareness to what we are doing. It gives us a chance to pause, reflect, and be an active participant in our own experience.  We will discuss this process of reflection and creating purpose.

Art and yoga supplies are provided.

$25/child

About the Instructor

Emma Berger-Singer

Emma has been working with children in a variety of settings for over 10 years. As a children’s art teacher for many years, Emma loves finding ways to help kids connect with their creativity.

She holds an NC teaching license in Elementary Education, a 250-hour yoga certification, and is working on her 500-hour yoga certification through Asheville Yoga Center.

Over the years she has seen the many therapeutic benefits of combining two of her passions, yoga and art. She loves using these modalities to help children explore the unique and creative gifts they have to share within themselves and the world around them. Through these practices of movement and making, Emma hopes children have fun and gain essential tools that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Emma loves spending time with her family and three young children, moving and calming her body through yoga and intuitive movement, playing with watercolor and other art mediums, and cultivating community.

She is so excited to continue connecting with families and sharing her experience, knowledge, and creativity with the community! Emma is also the founder of Asheville Kids Yoga & Art where she offers group classes, school programs, private lessons, and special events.
