Haley's up-coming classes
Haley O’Hara
Haley (she/her) began practicing yoga in 2008 as cross-training for dance—little did she know it would evolve into a complete life path. In 2019, she completed her 200-hr Vinyasa Teacher Training in Boulder, Colorado with certifications in Yin and Restorative Yoga soon to follow. These two movement languages of yoga and dance, coupled with an extensive background in somatic practices, create an environment that encourages intuitive movement while recognizing and honoring every student’s unique experience in class. She believes yoga is for everybody, and while the physical practice of yoga is often the main focus of yoga in the West, it is merely one access point to reaching the stillness and wisdom within. The emotions, thoughts, and states of being that can arise during asana point us in the direction of our dharma, and a step closer to our collective unity. She humbly hopes to be your guide in practice, leading you through the winding path of discomfort, intensity, and ease, ultimately revealing your teacher within.
Haley holds her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography and her MA in Liberal Studies from UNC Greensboro. She was a professional modern dancer with Nosilla Dance Project in Boulder, CO until relocating to Asheville in the Summer of 2022. When not teaching yoga, Haley enjoys reading, organizing, hiking, relaxing outdoors, and hanging out her husband and kitty cat.
